Virgil L. Orr (born February 2, 1923) is a retired engineering professor and administrator at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, who served as a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 12 (Lincoln and Union parishes) from 1988-1992.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Membership in the Louisiana House of Representatives, 1812-2012 )〕 ==Background== In 1940, Orr graduated from Glenmora High School in Glenmora south of Alexandria in southern Rapides Parish. The next year he was listed among the "Top 100 Alumni" of Louisiana Tech.〔 He and his wife, the former Myrtis Chandler (born April 27, 1924), reside in Ruston.
